New Gear

Recently, my dad came to KL. He's plan was to buy a new dslr camera for him, the D300. But me and my brother suggested that my dad should buy the new D300s that had been 'released' (thats wat we herd). We went to Sungei Wang, Lowyat, 1 Utama, Mid Valley, and also Subang Parade... and found out that the new D300s will be in stores at the end of this month... say wat?!... yup, we (me and my bro) thought that the new D300s and D3000 had just been released, well... its true... but, will be in stores end of this month. Ain't that just so damn comfusing...

Ow well, my dad just hv to wait. Since he didnt buy any camera, i got my new gear for my dslr... hehe... no no, its not a lens, its just a UV filter for my stock lens 18-105mm (yup, b4 this im using without filter... thank god no scratch) and.... drum roll please....... a new EXTENTSION TUBE (WTFH is that thing) hehe. Its an extension where u fit it on the body of the camera and the base of any lens, and taadaaaa... there u go, a new macro lens. hehe

Whats a macro lens? Its a lens where u can shoot photos close up, thats all i guess, hehe.

New DSLR

Just came back from Sabah. last week was my midterm break... so i went back to sabah... cz i miss my home. Didnt do much, juz rest, sleep and eat. But i got the chance to use my dads dslr Nikon D90 'wooooooo' since i sold my Olympus E-520. Took few amazing shots. Using a Tamron 90m 1:1 macro lens with F2.8 widest apature.

Handling the d90 and testing it... i would like to say that this dslr is a uniqe mid-range class dslr. It is capable of capturing photos with high iso while reducing alot of noise. This camera could also record a HD 720p 24fps videos and its the first dslr with high-def video. I would give this camera an 8 out of 10. Why not 10 out of 10... well... i think the new Nikon D300s that hv just been released deserves a 10 out of 10. Not to mention that im giving a 9 out of 10 for the D700 and 1000 out of 10 for both pro-range class dslr D3 and D3X... hehehe. These are the photos that i took using the D90 at the front yard of my house in Sabah.

Maybe its because i now know a thing or two about dslr... or maybe he was amazed by the pictures i took... hehe. Still... tq dad. Thats all for today i guess. tata...

Squash Club

Few days ago... i registered for squash club in my university... actually my friends "paksa" me, they said if i dont want 2 join... they will kill me... TRUE, but not the killing part... hehe. What is squash?? well... its a recquet sport, beeing played in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball.

The first meeting was on the 16th of July, n it was great, knowing new frends, having fun, there was like 100 people there... NOT!!! it was like 20+ people there n we barely know each other. The only best part was that... got KFC, yum2. hehe.

Well... today was when i realize dat it was a good thing that our members are around 20+, cz MMU only got 3 squash court. My first training was at 7.00pm just now. We practice simple stuff such as "drive ball" and... well... thats it i guess. Cz we hv problem mastering it. Its harder than it looks though. i even had the chance to pose in some of the pics below...

i know, all of these pics are taken using my handphone. HUHU... cz recently i just sold my dslr. HUHU... now i know i cant survice without a dslr camera. huhu... need one....

Abang Faizal's Wedding

on the 29th n 30th of may... i became my faizal's, my kazen pengapit. the wedding was held in melaka

akad nikah... didnt do much on this day. juz sitting near him. at night was amazing. me... as his pengapit, i had to hold the umbrella, yea... weird huh... umbrella at night... theres a reason though. got fire works. it was beautiful. we went in side... and i start doin my job 'kipasing' n 'laping' abang faizal. hehe. he was sweating like hell... me too

i dont hv any pics for those days yet since im the pengapit n all. will copy those pics from my kazen soon. but i got wedding pics for the guys side that was held on the 13th of june in Lahad Datu. this time i became a photographer cz its my bro's turn to b a pengapit. using my dad's dslr. nikon d90 with sigma 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 and a nikkor 55mm 1.8. still... got no speed light flash... so most of my pics are blur cz not using any flash or uneven lighting cz using the builed in flash. so... tada...

Its Been A While

Hmmm... well... it seems that i really got nothin to write for more then 1 month. i guess nothin really happen. Im busy lately with the study week, exam week and all... study2, busy2, *gambatte*. The True Color of Mount Kinabalu

This shot was amazing. Mount Kinabalu. On the 25/1/2009, I was wit my family at Perkasa Hotel in Kundasang. Using a polarized filter, i got most of the colors out of it. But sadly, the details are not so gud... because of the wrong contras setting that i forgot to change back before taking this picture.

This shot was tuff. Well... its a cat... wat do u expect, they run n jump like hell. Did managed to calm Coco down n took this shot though. Took this shot in a room with bad lighting, my sister, reena became my assistant. It was on the 20/3/2009.

Lots of detail are lost because of the high ISO setting. But it was ok... just look at the eye... AAAaaawww... hehehe

Love this picture... I wasnt using my polarized filter, but the color of the water was like unbeliveable. Took this picture on the 21/3/2009, at my cousins (camelia's) house. Love the detail. Told my sister, nina to make a splash, n this beautiful shot was taken.

It last for 40hours, from the 10th april till 12th april today. Sadly i didnt join. Evry1 who joined got free this n free that, but thats ok, i was kindda busy dat time (temankan my frend meet his old frend at KL Central). FYI, Id rather spend time with my frends or family than playin games for 40 hours, thats wat im tryin 2 say. It was held at the MMU Grand Hall, and i would like to say it was damn cold there plus the rainy weather and all *shivering*.My frend did joined the lan party, his eyes was red... hehehe. Imagine 40 hours playin games without sleeping and can only go out from the lan party area for 3 hours *DIEEE*. Got some photos, but was taken by my frend with his D60 but with my nikkor 18-105mm lens (D90 stock lens)

30 minutes flood

Im totally bored right now. Just updating my blog with craps. Yesterday, it was "raining like cats and dogs". Some people might not know the meaning of "raining like cats and dogs". Well, like a student from a college once explained, "it was raining heavily till the cats and dogs ran back home" hehehehe.

It was about 3pm yesterday, the weather was bad. It was sudden, raining till it flooded the hostel car park area. Yup... its true, got few pics.

But the weird thing is, the rain and the flood last only for 30 minutes. WEIRD huh.. after that, the sky was blue with bright white puffy clouds.
